XAAR codes the drop size in the model: GS6, GS12 and GS40 jet 6, 12 and 40 picolitre drops, with C for ceramic inks and U for UV and solvent inks. Series 502, 1002, 1003, 1201, 2001+ and 2002 cover tile, packaging and wide-format lines.

DIMATIX StarFire and Polaris printheads

StarFire SG1024 fires 1,024 addressable jets across a 64.96 mm swathe at 400 dpi native, with drop sizes from 6 to 200 pL at up to 50 kHz. The Polaris PQ-512 puts its channel count in the name — 512 jets in two field-replaceable 256-jet modules — with 15 pL and 35 pL drop options for grand-format UV.

SEIKO industrial inkjet printheads — 508GS, SPT and RC1536 series

SEIKO printheads — 508GS to RCE2560

SEIKO (SII Printek) puts the nozzle count in the model: the 508GS fires through 508 nozzles, the RC1536 through 1,536 and the RCE2560 through 2,560. GS marks the greyscale heads, and the recirculating RC family keeps ceramic pigment moving past every nozzle.
