XAAR 1201 Series
Genuine Xaar 1201 printheads — Xaar’s Thin Film Piezo® silicon MEMS head for wide-format graphics and textile printing. 1,280 nozzles in four interleaved rows cover a 27 mm swathe at 600 npi in one or two colours (300 npi in four colours), firing a 2.5 pL native drop with 4 or 8 grey levels at up to 50 kHz — apparent resolutions beyond 1440 dpi.
The 1201 jets aqueous, eco-solvent and UV inks onto photo paper, vinyl, canvas, banners and textiles. Its Thin Film Piezo® actuator is what makes the very small 2.5 pL native drop and the high 50 kHz firing rate possible in a compact body, while the short 27 mm swathe makes the head easy to array — several 1201s can be staggered to build a wider print bar without losing colour-to-colour registration. In practice that combination is what shops want when they move from a 600 npi machine to finer photographic detail without giving up throughput.
The head ships as a genuine original unit with Luer-lock ink fittings, a top-mounted flexible flat cable for electrical connection and QC documentation, so OEM integration stays simple. It uses a gravity-fed ink system, weighs 95 g and measures just 52.7 × 45 × 76.2 mm, on a 42.3 µm interleaved nozzle pitch with a 7 m/s drop velocity. It is the usual choice for textile printers upgrading from older 600 npi heads, and for wide-format machines that need fine detail alongside productive line speeds.
