XAAR 1003 Series

Genuine Xaar 1003 printheads — the world’s most widely installed industrial ceramic printhead family. 1,000 nozzles in two rows jet 6–42 pL (GS6), 12–84 pL (GS12) or 40 pL+ (GS40) greyscale drops across a 70.5 mm swathe at 360 npi, with up to 8 grey levels (5 on the heavy-laydown GS40C), High Laydown Technology for strong colour in a single pass, and XaarGuard™ nozzle protection. TF Technology® recirculation keeps heavily pigmented oil-based ceramic ink flowing through long production runs, and the compact 144 g body at a 6 m/s drop velocity is a big part of why the platform drops into existing print bars so easily.
Pick your variant by drop size and ink family: GS6 / GS12 / GS40 set the native drop volume (6 pL fine detail, 12 pL balanced laydown, 40 pL heavy laydown and white), and the suffix letter sets the ink family — C for oil-based ceramic inks, U for UV-curable and universal. Applications run from ceramic floor and wall tile decoration to ceramic slabs, glass printing, special-effect glazes and granules, and industrial single-pass decoration. Because the 1003 is fully backward compatible with Xaar 1001 and 1002 print bars, it doubles as the standard performance upgrade for older ceramic lines — the same controller and ink system usually stay in place while uniformity and nozzle-plate life improve.
