Overview
The Seiko RC1536L is the large-drop (L) variant of the RC1536 recirculation printhead family from SII Printek. Where the RC1536M jets 13–150 pL drops for fine detail, the RC1536L reaches 25–225 pL — delivering up to 85 g/m² of ink at 25 m/min for opaque whites, heavy varnishes, glazes and effect fluids on highly absorbent substrates. Both variants share the same 1536-nozzle, 108.3 mm, 360 npi architecture with true nozzle-level ink recirculation that continuously sweeps ink past the nozzles to remove air bubbles and keep heavy ceramic pigments suspended.

What is the difference between Seiko RC1536L and RC1536M?
Both are 1536-nozzle, 108.3 mm recirculation heads. The “L” variant jets 25–225 pL drops (2,477 µL/s, 85 g/m² lay-down) for heavy coverage like whites and glazes; the “M” variant jets 13–150 pL drops (1,500 µL/s, 60 g/m²) for finer detail. Choose by ink coverage, not by printer brand.
Which inks can the RC1536L use?
The ICA1536T0L version is configured for UV, solvent and oil-based inks. For water-based inks choose the ICA1536A0L (water-based RC1536L) version. Always validate ink viscosity (waveform and supply pressure) with your ink supplier.
Is the RC1536L a direct replacement for the RCH1536L?
Yes — the RCH1536L (ICB1536T0L) uses the same electronics and plumbing as the RC1536, with a reinforced metal nozzle plate, so it can be used as a drop-in replacement either way.
