Seiko RCE2560 Printhead – ICB2560A0B-1W01 (2560 Nozzles, 600 dpi, Recirculation) — live product video shot in our warehouse.
Overview
The RCE2560 is Seiko’s newest recirculation printhead, introduced at drupa 2024 as the 600 dpi successor to the RC1536. By shrinking the channel pitch Seiko packed 2,560 nozzles into four rows over the same 108.3 mm width — doubling native resolution to 600 npi and enabling 100 m/min single-pass printing at 600 dpi. New isolated-channel electronics allow bidirectional piezo drive with water-based inks (previously impossible with shared-wall designs), and the two independent channels can jet two different colours from one head.
Key Features
- 2,560 nozzles in 4 rows — 600 npi native resolution, up to 100 m/min at 600 dpi
- 9–30 pL drops with up to 16 grey levels
- Up to 40 kHz jetting frequency and 2,867 µL/sec productivity
- Full nozzle-level recirculation with 2 IN / 2 OUT ports
- Two independent ink channels — two colours from a single head
- Aqueous, oil, UV and solvent ink support (5–20 mPa·s)
- Generation 3.0 waveform controller and serial interface
- Original new unit, S/N 482J3B0005A with factory label
- Horizontal or vertical mounting; jetting viscosity 5–20 mPa·s
Typical Applications

Frequently Asked Questions
What makes the RCE2560 different from the RC1536?
The RCE2560 doubles nozzle density (2,560 vs 1,536) for 600 dpi native resolution, adds a second ink channel (two colours per head), extends grey levels to 16, fires at up to 40 kHz and introduces electronics that finally make water-based inks efficient on Seiko shared-wall architecture.
Which inks does the RCE2560 support?
Aqueous, oil-based, UV-curable and solvent inks with viscosity of 5–20 mPa·s. The improved drive electronics recover the bidirectional piezo motion needed for high directional accuracy with water-based inks.
What print speed can the RCE2560 reach?
Seiko targets approximately 100 m/min at 600 dpi in single-pass configurations, depending on the number of heads, ink system and media.
