Overview
The Xaar 1201 is Xaar’s high-quality, low-cost integration head for wide-format graphics (WFG) and textile applications. Its Thin Film Piezo silicon MEMS structure places a fixed 2.5 pL drop with variable greyscale (4 or 8 levels up to 21 pL) at up to 50 kHz — achieving an apparent resolution above 1440 dpi at 600 npi. Two interleaved nozzle-row pairs let OEMs configure 4 colours at 300 npi on one head, or 2 colours at 600 npi using the pre-aligned row pairs. The supplied metal secondary ink tank manifold with control valves and gravity-fed supply keeps the ink system simple, while lockable tube connections and clip-on cables make integration fast and error-proof.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many colours can one Xaar 1201 head print?
One head prints 1, 2 or 4 colours: 4 colours at 300 npi native resolution, or 2 colours at 600 npi using the pre-aligned nozzle-row pairs. Two heads inline create an economical 4-colour 600 npi printer, and four heads can reach 1200 × 1200 npi.
What inks does the Xaar 1201 support?
Aqueous, eco-solvent and UV inks. The head has no internal heater or temperature sensor, so use Xaar-certified ink formulations to keep the 1-year RMA warranty valid.
Does this kit include the ink supply unit?
Yes — this is the complete original kit: printhead assembly with the metal secondary ink tank manifold (with control valves), original Xaar packaging and QC approval cards.
